This is a picture of my father-in-law soon after he enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1949. Bill went to Korea as an enlisted man, then completed OCS to receive his commission. He served two tours in Vietnam and finished his career at the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk. Bill retired with the rank of Colonel, and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
